Silly name, luxurious design.
The marketing team at Holtz Leather was tasked with naming the scents for a new line of hand-poured glass jar candles. My colleague jokingly suggested silly names such as “Pretty Girl Holding Gummy Bears” and “Upper Middle Class House Party.” The owner loved it.
Inspired by elegant wine and whiskey packaging, these luxurious labels make for beautiful decor with a touch of humor.
“Pretty Girl Holding Gummy Bears” remains the best selling candle on Holtz Leather’s website.

Fun & Functional.
Due to the unique dimensions and fragile nature of the glass vessel, I was tasked with creating protective secondary packaging that could also be used as a gift box. I crafted the prototype by hand using leftover cardboard from the shipping department.
The wrap-around print displays typography-forward candle care information on the back and a leather label with a sealed sticker on the front. The candle is encased inside a hand-stamped cloth bag, which is surrounded by crinkle paper and includes a Holtz Leather product card.

Made by hand.
Starting a pottery and candle department was a dream for the Holtz family. These hand-turned vessels are crafted in Huntsville and carefully filled with classic scents such as Lavender & Coffee.

Fall Edition.
I designed a product card for a limited-release fall candle collection featuring the scents “Sweater Weather” and “It’s Fall Y’all.”
