After Holtz Leather launched Custom Patch Hats in 2017, business boomed. A new demographic entered the scene: small & medium business owners, families, farmers, mechanics, and a younger audience. As more customers poured in to get their logo on hats, the product line expanded as well. Holtz Headwear was born out of a dream to sustain the hat business independent of Holtz Leather.
In early 2021, I lead the concept and creation of Holtz Headwear’s new sub-brand identity, website design, email marketing, social media content, and digital ads.

A fresh take.
I was challenged with creating a mark that kept the original Holtz Leather castle and Hebrew text, which says “The Lord’s House.” We opted for a bold display serif that kept with the vintage theme of the parent brand, but paired beautifully with a modern sans-serif to keep things clean.
The revised color palette is slightly brighter to appeal to a younger audience, but still recognizable to loyal customers.

A new home.
Holtz Headwear’s new home launched with a welcoming email, social media campaign, and a sweet sale.
We created the standalone site using Shopify. Being the only designer on this small team, I took on all digital graphics for emails, social media, and ads, including the UX & UI for the site.
